SERVICE AND COVID
Updated: May 30
Hey Parkway Church! Pastor Dusty here.
I just wanted to give you an update concerning service this Sunday. We have been tracking along with how things have been progressing as far as restrictions on public gatherings including church services because of the COVID outbreak. As well, our regular meeting places at Fairfield Elementary School and the Amherstview Community Hall have been closed off until April the 6th. We have decided to suspend this Sunday’s public gathering.
Instead, our service will be available online this Sunday morning at 10:30 am. Links will be posted on Facebook, and on our website for the service. If you have family and friends that don’t have access to the internet, let them know and maybe even invite them to watch with you. We want to encourage you to enjoy church from home with your family, friends, and neighbours this week.
This is a unique opportunity to be the church in your neighbourhood. The church has always been more than a building or meeting place - it has always been a people who have been touched by the hand of God and redeemed by a relationship with Jesus Christ meeting together to worship, grow and share together. These are unique and challenging times that many of us are surprised to find ourselves in. But God is not surprised. When there is fear - let’s have faith.
Stay tuned in this weekend for links to our Sunday service and for bible study notes to share with your family and friends as you join together at home.
Regulations for public gatherings are changing often, so stay tuned for details about services over the next few weeks. Pray for our church, pray for Canada and pray for our public officials as they work to solve COVID.
